Mojacar MjH3 - El Rave's Trek

Mojacar to Turre - 6.5 miles - 400m ascent

Tues 7th May - 11 am Plaza

This is a mountain trail from Mojacar to Turre over a mountain path. This is not a hash run and will be a slow trek. The trail was researched using 2 trails from the Wikiloc web site. I have down loaded both maps GPS tracks to my mobile and have a GPS plot on a good spanish map of the trail. I expect we will be ascending at about 1 mile per hour and it wil take 3 hrs to do the first half. You can see on the height chart below. The first half is a steady climb for about 2 miles to 600m followed by a flatish walk along the mountain ridge. Snowdon is 1000m.

Bring a packed ruck sack with water, food. We will have a 1/2 hr stop at El Jali, an abandoned farm house (Cortijo).

The trail to Turre is mostly cart tracks so that the 4 mile decent will be relatively easy and should only take 1.5 hrs We should arrive in Turre Chili bar at between 4 - 5 pm for a well deserved beer.

There is a new resturant in Turre, the Star of India, which I am hoping to try afterwards. Home by local Taxi.
